July 27th at Utica Park in Angels Camp, CA

Is anyone planning on going to this? Or has anyone attended in previous years? Do they get a good turnout for the swap meet portion?

We picked up a flyer at BugORama and are planning on going up there (we're partial to that area of the state).

The flyer lists their website as www.vwswap.com (but that wasn't working for me today - it may just be a temporary glitch, though).  They also are on FB at www.facebook.com/MotherLodeVWClub.

I've never been.
Might make for a good weekend drive though.
I'll no more as it gets closer. Busy summer.
According to the FB page they are re-naming the website right now.

Hello VW friends! Our website is in the process of being renamed. Just a "heads up", that it's not going away. The company that hosted the domain is closing, so we are looking to rename to another url. So far, vote is for www.motherlodevwclub.com but I will update as things progress.

Ah, that makes sense (renaming the website, new provider).  I didn't have time to recheck their FB page yesterday.

It does make for a nice weekend drive, and there is a lot of historical gold-rush era stuff around that area.  I lived in Sonora until I was 9, so I have a lot of memories from up there.

I've been a couple times over the years and the show's very nice. More or less shady given the summer heat, but the swap is generally pretty small.

Shade is nice up there in the summertime!

Unfortunately, we aren't going to be able to go this year after all.  There is a conflict with a little performance my grandson is in, and my daughter would probably disown us if we missed his first performance  :(

We are also still trying to get an idling issue worked out  thinking
