empi seems prolific are there better brands?

I took mine off on my lowered bus did not notice a huge difference.

I'm getting the classic understeer and then instant swap to oversteer while engaging in spirited driving.

Maybe I should just slow down ;-)

I think a lot of that may be due to your short wheelbase.
What's the camber  like in the rear now?
Too much positive camber will give you a similar feeling.
