i have some long axles off of a type 3... what needs to be modified to fit the spring plates??? just machined to fit the bolt pattern??? and if i find backing plates and wide 5 drums from a Type 3 it will bolt up without much more mods???

plan on speedmasters in the future but it will be stock 15's till i get more scratch... and i dont want to do it twice... i'm building a 3.88 for it and i'll be putting this stuff together pretty soon...

just want a parts list so i know how deep i'm getting into it...

Thanks,
   Mike

You bet I do.

You'll need axle tubes, and bearing caps as well. No e-brake spacers on an early Bus though.

True that homie! &  the best thing about it is Greg knows all the little related things that efect the "chain" of events that your bus is gonna go thru during its altitude adjustment.
