How to? Pro's/Con's

Can someone give me a good how to and the pro's and con's to doing a steering box raise?

 I did a lil step by step on mine I didnt shorten my column yet but thats easy

 Pros are better ground clearance cons are have to cut the frame and if you go high enough modify the floor a lil for the drag link
 I left out a few minor things but once you start you will figure them out. mainly the brake pedal linkage needs to be trimmed too so it doesnt hit the box and stop your pedal travel. Best to ad a piece of steel to the linkage to thicken it and give it a lil more strength
 But it is reversable

Thanks guys... Saw that post before i put mine up.  Lots of good info there.  I still havent decided if I wanna do it yet though.

Its a great mod to do on a dropped bus, I think its necessary when U are rollin beam & spindals.

My favorite side effect from not doin it is the horn gettin stuck on from grinding the wire into the box... ;)

Franz, U should post a link to the video we made a while back.

IMO: Just dont try to dimple the floor with a floor jack!!! The bus lifts off the stands & tries to kill you before it dimples the floor... :o
