Damn! Nice start on a clean build. With my short legs and that driver seat I wouldn't be able to reach the pedals for sure icon_lol

Thanks Slowlow for the nice words, I'm diggin' the 16's myself biggrin and folks55 I'm sure you could find one of these positions to suit you............
Rearmost..........

1 Notch forward...........

2 Notches forward.......

3 Notches forward..............

Or 4 ...........( You gotta be a short Mo-Fo to use this position )  icon_razz

Maybe you want to hang at a show and face the people in the back of the bus.......

Or simply stand outside the bus and find a place to rest your cold beverage or set-up your laptop or other device..............

Or maybe from inside, place to put down a sandwich or............

Here's a little detail shot of some of the mechanism and such needed to pull this off........

This is the type of thing that Skidmarks garage likes to create,
Not nearly finished yet but starting to come together as a flip-seat-wanna-be

Nice job on the seat.

Looks like the same thing as an SO-33 Flip seat, only more up to date.

The last 3 are of my own "extra" seat I had, the other I found on the Samba in the gallery.

I always wanted to do a flip seat DC, but never found one beat enough to hack up.

That's one advantage I had with this bus, It Was Beat !!!!!!
Rusty, Crusty old 13 window deluxe 67  that needed everything so anything goes as far as I'm concerned.
Just so you guys know, I had thoughts of a custom double swivel seat conversion too but by the time I made the seats wide enough for my wide ass there was not enough room to swivel ( Much less to walk thru. ) wink

Whats that wood thing? A big ass straight sander?
Didnt even notice before that the doglegs are molded to the body now.
What did you spray it with, some super high build primer? Shit almost looks like texture paint.
Amazing work.  thumbs up thumbs up

Thanks man, Yeah, that's a 5 1/2 foot sanding block I made, the seam between the Qtr. panel and dog leg got covered up but I'll dig it back up proper wink
The polyester primer is an Evercoat product called Slick-Sand, VERY high build indeed, sort of a spray on filler it's catalyzed with MEK. I use it on everything.
