 its from a 51 Mercury All I did was shave down the woodruff key a little bit and it fit perfect, same taper.

 I took the horn button off the bus wheel and it fit right on though.

The insulation you used, was it the same stuff I saw at Home Depot that looked like bubble wrap covered in foil?

 Its not bubble wrap its just a thin foam or something with foil on one side and adhesive on the other. It was in the HVAC area with all the tin and shit. Still needed to spray some areas with some glue so it held well.
