Im starting a thread with a few pics of my 60 ragtop I bought off the Samba about 3 years ago
I picked it up as a project that someone lost interest in. It had a great body and had been recently painted Black.
I got it from a guy in Oregon and I never looked at just bought it and had it shipped. The paint job turned out to be amazing.
Its the first VW I ever owned. I dropped the engine to detail it and powdercoat the tin. New heads, clutch, distributor etc.
I spent a lot of time detailing the under carraige without taking the whole car apart.
This car has a matching numbers pan and engine I'm really not a purist but it was such a sweet car I decided to redo it and keep it an original looking car. It took about 3 years to finish it and I enjoyed it so much that its what influenced me to buy my bus.
The downside is I only have a 2 car garage so I guess I'm done... icon_lol

The seats and door panels came already done with the car. I had the headliner and top done.
